Purcell Named Second Team All-American

Former Holton Wildcat Kale Purcell has received Second Team All-American honors at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. 

Purcell graduated from Holton in 2021 and is currently a junior at Central College in Pella, Iowa. 

At the NCAA III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Purcell finished 10th in the triple jump with a leap of 48 feet and one-half inch which also set a new school record. 

He's had a tremendous season which included a first place finish in the triple jump at the American Rivers Championships which helped the team to a fourth place finish in the event. 

Purcell was also recognized in 2023 as an All-Midwest Region performer by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
