King Providing a Pop in the Highland Lineup

Former Oskaloosa Bear Mya King is coming off arguably her best two-game stretch this season for the Highland CC softball team.

In a recent outing against North Dakota State College of Science, the freshman had five hits in a doubleheader which included a double, a home run, and three RBI’s.

So far this season, Mya has a .375 batting average in 64 at-bats with six doubles, a home run, and 12 RBI’s. The Scotties are off to a 12-6 start this season and they have won four of their last six games.  

During her senior season with Oskaloosa, Mya helped the Bears to a 9-8 record including 9-3 mark in NEKL play. She was named an All-League selection as an outfielder.
