Former Holton Wildcat Zeller Named MIAA Co-Special Teams Player of the Week

Former Holton Wildcat Jake Zeller has been named MIAA Co-Special Teams Player of the Week after his performance in Washburn's 45-3 win over Lincoln in the season opener. 

Zeller tallied three punts and averaged over 54 yards per punt including a punt that traveled 61 yards. 

His 54.3 yards per punt is the second highest in single game history for Washburn. 

During his senior year at Holton, Zeller earned All-Big 7 and All-State Honorable Mention as a punter and also earned All-Big 7 League Honors as a defensive back. 

He was also All-League honors as a punter during both his sophomore and junior seasons with the Wildcats.
