Tolbert Leading Kaws Cross Country Team

Perry-Lecompton cross country runner Ethan Tolbert has had a tremendous 2025 season. 

Ethan is in just his second year of running cross country. Last year as a junior he qualified for the state cross country meet at Rim Rock and finished in 50th place in Boys 3A with a time of 17:52. 

This year he continues to improve, setting his personal best time at the Basehor-Linwood Invitational with a time of 17:34. 

He has now won the last two meets he has participated in, winning the McLouth invitational with a time of 17:54 and then winning the Royal Valley invitational with a time of 17:58.

Not only did he win the Royal Valley meet, but his time set a new course record.
