Menold Captures State Title and Secures Undefeated Senior Season in Salina

Sabetha wrestler Colin Menold captured the Class 3-2-1A State Championship at 150 pounds on Saturday in Salina finishing a perfect 43-0 in his senior season.

Menold entered the tournament ranked #2 in the weight class and he defeated the #1 ranked wrestler in extra time 3-2 in the Championship match.

His incredible career includes being a four-time Big 7 League Champion and four-time State qualifier. His career number for tech falls is top-20 in state history and his number of tech falls this season is top-10 in state history.

His career accolades add up to simply a top-tier career that will go down as one of the best in Sabetha history and among some of the best in Kansas history.
