Langley Continues Strong Season for JCN

Jefferson County North senior Emily Langley earns another athlete of the week honor after a couple of big-time performances last week for the Chargers basketball team.

The 6’0 senior averaged over 18 points and 18 rebounds per game in back-to-back games against Troy and Oskaloosa.

She finished with nine points and 19 rebounds against Troy and followed that up with monstrous 28 points and 18 rebounds against Oskaloosa. In the game against Oskaloosa, Emily made 9-of-14 shots and 10-of-13 free throws.

For the season, Emily is averaging 13 points and 11 rebounds per game. Emily was also recently named Second Team All-State in Class 2A by the Kansas Volleyball Association helping the Chargers to a 32-6 season and NEKL Title.
