Menold Runs Wild in Playoff Win at Silver Lake

The Sabetha Bluejays won a thrilling game this past Friday night at Silver Lake 45-34 to advance to the Sectional round of the Class 2A playoffs.

Sabetha’s rushing attack was dominant led by Colin Menold who finished the game with 31 carries for 360 yards and three touchdowns. The Bluejays rushed for well over 500 yards as a team in the game.

Menold’s first touch of the game was a 43-yard touchdown run and his two big runs in the fourth quarter helped Sabetha put away the Eagles with touchdown runs of 48 and 52 yards.

The Bluejays are 9-1 and Colin has rushed for 1,313 yards and 18 touchdowns this season. Sabetha will host Humboldt on Friday night with a trip to Sub-State on the line.
