Honeyman posts strong numbers in Nemaha Central's 5-1 start at Marysville Tournament

The Nemaha Central volleyball team got off to a solid start in 2023 this past Saturday at the Marysville Tournament.

The Thunder finished in second place with a 5-1 record, losing to only Silver Lake in the championship match.

Cali Honeyman led the Thunder and had a solid weekend. The 5’11 junior tallied 53 kills, 5 aces, 32 digs, nine blocks, and had a 91.3 serve percentage.

Cali was named honorable mention Big 7 last season helping the Thunder reach the 3A state title match.

She’s also coming off a track season where she finished second place in the 100-meter hurdles and seventh place in the 300-meter hurdles at the state meet this past spring.
