Lott Wins 2A Gold Medal in Shot Put

Keegan Lott of ACCHS ended his track and field career on a high note in Wichita this past weekend as he was the 2A State Champion in the shot put.

His top throw of 50-11.25 that won him the gold medal was nearly two feet farther than second place.

It was quite the improvement from last season as Keegan finished sixth in the shot put and second in the discus. This year, he takes home the gold in the shot put and added a fifth-place finish in the javelin.

Keegan placed first in the discus for most of the season, and he ranked first in 2A for the discus and shot-put heading into the State Meet. He also broke the ACCHS record in the discus back at the NEKL Meet.

Keegan is signed and set to continue his academic and track and field career at Kansas Wesleyan.
