Oen Deters Comes Up Clutch for Centralia Last Week

Centralia freshman Oen Deters has helped the Lady Panthers start the basketball season 2-0 with big time performances against both Hanover and Nemaha Central last week.

Against Hanover, Deters led the way with a game high 21 points with five made three’s in what was a 47-29 victory.

On Friday against Nemaha Central she hit the game-winning three pointer with under three seconds left to give the Panthers a 40-39 win. Deters had a game high 15 points and added 11 rebounds for a double-double.

So far through two games, Deters is averaging a clean double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Deters was also a big part of the volleyball team that finished third at State this past season.
