Thompson Scores 23 to Lead Jackson Heights Girls

Kaylee Thompson of the Jackson Heights basketball team got the season started in a big way on Friday night in the Cobra’s 61-30 win over Royal Valley.

The 5’9 junior posted a solid double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Last season as a sophomore, Thompson earned 2nd Team All-League honors in the Northeast Kansas League.

Kaylee is an all-around athlete that provides the team with toughness and grit. Thompson is very coachable and brings a team first mentality to the floor.
