Ashton Rockey Does it All for Hiawatha Against Riverside

Ashton Rockey earns athlete of the week honors after a monster performance in Hiawatha’s 55-0 win over Riverside on Friday helping his team improve to 2-1.

Rockey scored in each facet of the game with a kickoff return touchdown, a 69 yard touchdown run on offense and a pick-six on defense.

The 5’9 160lb junior has been a three sport athlete his whole high school career playing football, basketball and baseball. He’s been a starter for the football team on both sides of the ball since his sophomore season.

Ashton has seen his role on the team grow from a player who simply did his job well to a playmaker that Hiawatha looks to get the ball to as much as possible.

The coaching staff has lots of confidence in him to make plays on both sides of the ball.
