Detweiler Leads Axtell to Week One Upset Victory

Isaac earns athlete of the week honors after posting monster numbers in Axtell’s win over a ranked Wheatland/Grinnell squad on Friday night. Isaac rushed for 154 yards and five touchdowns while adding 147 passing yards and two more touchdowns.

Isaac was an all-league and all-state wide receiver his freshman year and then moved to quarterback as a sophomore where he also earned all-league honors.

Last season he threw for 1,970 yards with 31 touchdowns. He also added 484 rushing yards and 16 more touchdowns and Isaac is certainly off to a great start this season.
