Holton Wildcat, Lawson Henry Off to Great Start on the Mats

The Holton Wildcats wrestling team is off to a strong start for the 2017-18 season and that continued with their performance at the Ottawa Duals tournament.

Holton came out on top as a team at Ottawa winning the tournament behind several strong individual performances including that of senior, Lawson Henry who went 4-0 at 138lbs. Henry earned three of his four wins by pinfall coming in 1:05, 1:28 and 4:20, while winning his other match on the day by major decision 15-2.

Through three tournaments and a few other matches Henry sits at 15-1 overall on the season for Holton at 138lbs and 14 of his 15 wins have come via pinfall. Henry also broke into the Class 4A KWCA rankings last week checking in at #6 at 138lbs.

Henry and his fellow Holton Wildcat grapplers look to continue to build upon their success this season and continue to challenge for top flight finishes all season.
