Perez sends Royals to 4-3 win over Mariners

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Salvador Perez drove in Mike Moustakas with two outs in the eighth inning, and the Kansas City Royals survived after blowing a three-run lead to beat the Seattle Mariners 4-3 on Tuesday night.

Billy Butler had just grounded into a double play against Seattle reliever Yoervis Medina when Moustakas legged out a double to center in the eighth. Perez followed with a single to left, and Moustakas had just enough time for a headfirst slide ahead of Endy Chavez's throw to home.

Luke Hochevar got two outs earlier in the eighth to leave runners stranded on second and third, and Greg Holland pitched a perfect ninth for his 31st straight save and 38th on the year.
