08/29/2013 10:18 AM | Regional Sports | Associated Press

(AP) - The Missouri men's basketball team returns to the Hearnes Center for a preseason exhibition game that will also honor the 1994 Big Eight championship squad.

The Columbia Daily Tribune (bit.ly/17itfC7 ) reports that Mizzou faces NAIA opponent Oklahoma City University to kick off homecoming weekend on Oct. 25. The football Tigers play South Carolina the next day.

It will be Missouri's first basketball game in the 41-year-old Hearnes Center since Mizzou Arena opened in 2004. Admission will be free.

The 1994 Tigers went 14-0 in conference play under then-coach Norm Stewart and featured standouts Melvin Booker, Jevon Crudup and Kelly Thames. This year's Tigers will wear vintage uniforms for the exhibition game.
