Falls City Native Wins Omaha World Herald Publinks Golf Tournament

 Falls City native Michael Hillyard won the Don Lee Championship Flight of the 81st Omaha World Herald Publinks golf tournament Sunday at the Benson Park Golf Course in Omaha.

This was Hillyards first time entering the tournament.  He defeated Randy Christensen of Omaha  2 & 1 in the 36 hole title match.

During the Sunday morning round Hillyard took a commanding 5-up lead and on the second nine was able to stretch the lead to 6 up.  Christensen made a late comeback to pull to within two before Hillyard was able to shut him out on the 35th hole.
