Peru State Baseball team Sweeps, Wins HAAC Western Division

The Peru State College baseball team rolled to a doubleheader sweep of Missouri Valley College Saturday.
 The Bobcats won the first game, 6-0.  Pitchers Timothy Peterson and Derek Voigt combined on a three-hit shutout, and the Bobcat offense broke the game open with four runs in the bottom of the 6th inning.
 The Bobcats won the second game, 14-1.  Tanner DeGafferelly threw a complete game for the win.
 Offensively, Ryan Grabowski was 4-for-5 on the day with two RBIs, and Ronnie Tanner had three hits for Peru State, including a grand slam in game two, and five RBIs.
 With the two wins, Peru State won the Western Division of the Heart of America Athletic Conference.  The ‘Cats will be no worse than the second seed in the upcoming conference tournament.
