03/25/2013 8:44 AM | Regional Sports | John NIxon

Playing in another cloudy and cold set of conditions, the Peru State Bobcats split a double header in Canton, Mo., against the Culver-Stockton Wildcats on Saturday.

The Bobcats won game one 4-0 while the Wildcats took the second, 1-0.

Peru State is now 9-10 overall and 3-3 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) while Culver-Stockton is now 10-13 overall and 2-4 in the HAAC.  This was a crossover division double header meaning the first game was seven innings and the second game was nine innings.

If the weather permits, the Bobcats will be in action on Tuesday, March 26, hosting the Eagles from Central Methodist University in another HAAC cross over double header.

Easter weekend will be a busy one for the 'Cats as they are scheduled to play three double headers.  On Friday and Saturday, Peru State is to host MidAmerica Nazarene University in HAAC Western Division games.

Then, on Monday, the Bobcats will host Great Plain Athletic Conference (GPAC) foe Doane College in a non-conference double header.

All games are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will be played at the Centennial Complex Field.
