01/09/2013 10:15 AM | Regional Sports | John NIxon

Two Peru State College (PSC) Bobcat football players were selected to play in the “D2 vs. NAIA Senior Bowl” representing the best players in

Representing Peru State in the all-star game were Preston Bruss (Bennet) and Adrian Lawson (Lincoln).

Players participating took part in practices, NFL combine testing, attended an awards banquet, and played in the all-star game with pro scouts in attendance.  For the players, it was a three-day experience where they had an opportunity to play against outstanding peers in a challenge to measure the levels of talent in DII and the NAIA.  All participants had to be seniors who had exhausted their collegiate eligibility.

A combined staff from Waldorf College (Iowa) and Edward Waters College (Florida) coached the NAIA team.

Bruss had an outstanding game and finished with seven tackles and two sacks.  No statistics were available for Lawson.  Both players were linebackers for the Peru State and NAIA all-star team.
