Three Peru State Volleyball Players Earn Scholar-Athlete Honors

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Volleyball Scholar-Athletes.  Three Peru State College (PSC) volleyball players are among the 408 players across the country who were honored.

Fifth-year senior Katlyn Donovan (Greeley) and seniors Emily Maresh (Central City) and Becky Boshart (Wood River) were the three Bobcats earning the recognition.  For all three, this is their second year to earn the honor.

The scholar-athletes were nominated by Bobcat head coach Melvin Balogh and associate athletic director/sports information director Ted L. Harshbarger.  Each student-athlete has to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must be a junior academically to qualify.

Donovan is a K-12 physical education and exercise science major.

Maresh is a K-12 physical education and exercise science major.

Boshart is an elementary education major.
