Holton Wrestling Dominates Spring Hill Duals

Even with just three days of practice, the Holton Wrestling Team was able to start their season with five impressive wins against all Class 5A and 6A high schools at the Spring Hill Duals on Friday.

Holton had Hunter Price (senior) go a perfect 5-0 in the 120 pound weight class, while Andrew Rieschick (junior) was also 5-0 at 160 pounds.  Cooper Zeller (junior) was 2-0 and Lucas Lovvorn (sophomore) was 4-0 on the day.  Lane Lassiter (senior), Clayton Folk (junior) and Mason Baum all went 4-1 while Jordan Booth was 3-1.  Like Lovvorn, Baum and Booth are both sophomores that performed well and had to fill in at some higher weight classes after senior, Garrett Lembrecht was injured in his first match of the day.

"I was shocked at how well we performed," said Holton Coach Cullen Jackson.  "The guys really stepped up after just three days of practice and wrestled very hard."
