Peru State's Campbell Earns Conference Award

Peru State DB Garrett Campbell joined Baker teammates Dillon Baxter and Andre Jolly as the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Special Teams, Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, on Monday afternoon.

In the most exciting game of the weekend, Campbell turned in one of the most important individual plays for Peru State in a 31-24 overtime victory over Avila. A junior from Santee, Calif., Campbell picked up his second weekly award of the campaign after a 66-yard kickoff return that set up a game-tying field goal at the end of regulation. He also recorded a pair of tackles from his defensive position.
