Husker Volleyball Player Named Big 10 Freshman of the Week

Nebraska freshman Meghan Haggerty was honored by the Big Ten Conference on Monday as the league’s Freshman of the Week. It marks her third Freshman of the Week honor this season.
 
Haggerty posted 12 kills on .333 hitting and seven blocks in Nebraska’s five-set win over No. 1 Penn State on Sunday. She also tallied five blocks and seven kills against Ohio State on Friday, as she averaged 1.3 blocks and 2.1 kills for the weekend.
 
This week the Huskers will travel to face the Michigan Wolverines on Friday, Nov. 2 and the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday, Nov. 3
