Tiger Softball Team Wins District Opener

    The Falls City Tiger Softball team won their opening game at the District tournament in Fairbury this afternoon defeating Johnson County Central 18-1 in three innings. 
    The Tigers are playing Southern in the second round.  If Falls City wins in round two, they will play at noon on Friday.  A loss in the second game would drop the Tigers into the losers bracket and mean a 10 a-m game on Friday.
    Johnson County Central will play at 5 p-m against Wilber Clatonia.  A win would mean a game at 10 a-m on Friday.
    The Class B District 3 tournament is being played at the Fairbury Softball Complex.
