Huskers Abdullah Named Big 10 Special Teams Player of Week

Nebraska Sophomore Ameer Abdullah has been named Big 10 Special Teams Player of the Week.

      Against Idaho State on Saturday Abdullah returned a punt 81 yards for a touchdown. It was the Huskers first punt return touchdown since October 2010.

     Abdullah also added 49 yards rushing and finished the day with 129 all-purpose yards.  This marks his second Big 10 Special Teams Player of the Week award.  The last Husker to win the award was Brett Maher in November of 2011.
