Holton Volleyball Struggles at Seaman Invite

The Holton volleyball team faced some of the toughest competition of the season Saturday in Topeka at the Seaman Invite and went 1-3 in pool play while not advancing to the semifinals. 

The Wildcats beat KC Sumner 25-14 and 25-11, but lost in straight sets to eventual tourney champ Lawrence Free State (17-25, 17-25) as well as Juction City (13-25, 18-25) and Seaman (20-25, 22-25). 

Holton entered the tournament having won 8 straight matches including the Rossville Tournament a week ago and climbed into the Class 4A KVA Rankings this week.  Holton is now 15-5 on the season and holds a one-game lead a top the Big 7 League standings with a 7-1 mark.
