(KLZA) Following a career-setting performance against Dakota State University (DSU), Peru State College's (PSC) senior volleyball player, Emily Maresh (Central City), was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Libero of the Week.

Maresh had 36 digs in the five-set loss to Dakota State on Saturday. The career-high was better than her previous five-set mark of 32 that she did twice last season. In addition, against DSU, Maresh had 46 good service receptions, a service ace, two kills, and an assist.

In the Bobcats' first win of the year over Waldorf College, Maresh had 16 digs, a service ace, and 23 good service receptions.

Last year, Maresh was named the HAAC Libero of the Week three times and went on to earn HAAC Second Team All-Conference. After the first three weeks of the volleyball season, Maresh is leading the HAAC by averaging 6.1 digs per set.
