Rossville Baseball Qualifies for State Tournament

The Rossville baseball team will have their season continue next week at the 2-1A State Tournament.

The Dawgs won the regional title on Tuesday with a 13-0 semifinal win over Jackson Heights, and a 4-1 win over Mission Valley in the championship game.

Rossville will enter the state tournament with an overall record of 23-4. They finished 17-3 in the Big East and will be ready to make a nice run next week.

Rossville will be one of the hottest teams entering the state tournament as they've won 14 games in a row. The Dawgs' only four losses came against Jefferson West twice, Clay Center, and Sabetha.

It's a return trip to state as Rossville advanced to the state quarterfinals last season, but lost 1-0 to Remington in the opening round which ended that season with a record of 18-8.
