Final KABC Rankings of April
The Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches have updated their rankings for the final time in the month of April.
In Class 3A, Jefferson West comes in ranked #2 behind only Girard. The Tigers are 15-2 overall and are coming off their first losses of the season at the hands of Sabetha on Monday.
Speaking of the Bluejays, they come in ranked #5 with Trinity and Collegiate ranked ahead of them. Sabetha sits at 13-4 overall including a 10-2 mark in the Big East.
Rounding out the remaining top 10 in Class 3A behind Sabetha is Russell, Hesston, Frontenac, Kingman, and Burlington.
In Class 2-1A, Valley Falls checks in at #3 behind only Thomas More Prep and Pitt-Colgan. The Dragons are 14-5 overall and 11-3 in NEKL play.
Doniphan West is ranked #5 with Central Heights sandwiched between them and the Dragons. The Mustangs also boast a 13-4 record and still have games with Riverside and Maur Hill in the next week.
Following Mission Valley at #6 is Rossville who is ranked #7. The Dawgs have won five of their last six games and sit at 10-4 overall.
Finally, we got Frankfort at #9 with Southern Lyon ranked ahead of them at #8 and Cedar Vale/Dexter rounding out the ranks at #10.
Frankfort is 15-3 overall including a mark of 10-2 in TVL play. Frankfort has won five of their last six games with that lone loss coming in a split with Marysville earlier in the week.
