Nemaha Central Takes Home Fourth Place Finish at Home Tournament

The Nemaha Central volleyball team hosted their home invitational on Saturday and the Thunder would finish in the tournament in fourth place. 

NC would go 3-1 in pool play with wins over Hiawatha, Horton, and NEK with a loss to Tonganoxie. Tonganoxie would go 4-0 in pool play while Hiawatha and Horton both went 1-2. 

In the other pool it was Rock Creek who went 4-0 with Maranatha going 3-1. Sabetha went 1-3, Marysville went 1-2, and Atchison going 0-3. 

Nemaha Central would lose to Rock Creek in the semifinals 25-21, 13-25, 12-25 before losing to Maranatha in the third place match 15-25, 19-25. 

Tonganoxie would go on to defeat Rock Creek in the championship match.
