Hanover Defeats Linn to Capture Clifton-Clyde Tournament Title

The Hanover volleyball team won the Clifton-Clyde tournament championship on Saturday defeating Linn in the title match 25-22, 25-20. 

The Wildcats were perfect in pool play defeating Troy, St. John, and Clifton-Clyde. They would defeat Wamego 18-25, 25-12, 25-16 in the semifinals before defeating the Bulldogs after that. 

Linn won their first four matches of the tournament before the loss to Hanover as they defeated Lincoln, Fairbury, and Wamego in pool play and then would defeat Clifton-Clyde 25-20, 25-19 in the semifinals. 

Wamego would defeat Clifton-Clyde 14-25, 25-23, 16-25 in the consolation final to give the host Eagles a fourth place finish. 

Troy would lose to Fairbury 14-25, 16-25 on the consolation side of the bracket after the Trojans went 0-3 in pool play.
