Washington County Girls and Axtell Boys Win Frankfort Track Meet

Frankfort High School hosted a track and field meet with area teams on Thursday, April 17 and in the end it was the Washington County girls and Axtell boys taking home first place finishes. 

Both teams are the defending 1A state track and field champions and look poised for potential repeat titles. 

The Tiger girls finished the meet with 150 points while host Frankfort finished in second place with 113 points. 

Axtell (98), Marysville (86), Linn (29), and Blue Valley-Randolph (17) rounded out the team standings. 

The Eagles boys continue to roll through their regular season schedule this time finishing in Frankfort with 203 points. 

Washington County finished in second place with 139 points while host Frankfort finished in third place with 78 points. 

Linn (60), Marysville (16), and Blue Valley-Randolph (14) rounded out the team standings.
