Oskaloosa's Holly Thacher Wins Fourth Straight State Title

Oskaloosa's Holly Thacher joined the elite on Saturday at the Class 3-2-1A State Tournament in Hays by winning her fourth straight title. 

This season she captured the 120 pound title winning her four matches in dominant fashion. In the first round she defeated Molly Helget of Thomas More Prep by fall 50 seconds into the match. 

Her quarterfinal match took all of 30 seconds as she would pin Annie Kendig of Osborne. Her semifinal was a 15-0 tech fall win against Bryleigh Rigdon of Caney Valley, and the title match was won vs. Kylee Hodges of Oakley by a 10-2 majority decision. 

Last season she won the title at 115 pounds and finished with a record of 30-4. This season she finished with a record of 32-2 which put her career record at 118-9.
