Girls State Wrestling Qualifiers from 4A Tournament in Paola

Area girls wrestling teams competed at the Class 4A regional tournament on Saturday in Paola. 

Teams competing were Atchison, Hiawatha, Holton, Jefferson West, Perry-Lecompton, Nemaha Central and Silver Lake. 

The top eight wrestlers from each weight class advanced to the state tournament which will be Feb. 28-March 1 in Salina. 

We had three regional champions with Renae Keim of Nemaha Central, Autumn Feldkamp of Nemaha Central, and Meaa Allen of Perry-Lecompton. 

Holton finished fourth in the team standings while Silver Lake finished in 10th.
