Perry-Lecompton Rolls Jefferson West to Advance to Valley Falls Tournament Title Game

The Perry-Lecompton boys basketball team advanced to the Valley Falls mid-season tournament title game with a 59-30 win over Jefferson West on Friday night. 

The Kaws will face Rossville in the championship game on Saturday at 4:30. 

Perry dominated the middle quarters of the game. After leading the Tigers 12-8 after the first quarter, the Kaws outscored the Tigers 20-8 in the second quarter and 12-3 in the third quarter. 

Ronnie Baker scored 14 points in the first half and finished with 19 points and nine rebounds to lead the Kaws. Marius Carlsen added 11 points with 10 players scoring in the game for the Kaws. 

Jefferson West finished the game with 25 turnovers and didn't shoot a free throw in the game. They got nine points from Max Tuck and eight points from Daniel Brown. 

Jefferson West will play NEK on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 in the third place game.
