2024 Top 10 Moments: #3 - Frankfort Girls Win First State Basketball Title in School History

On March 9th, the Frankfort girls basketball team captured their first State Championship in school history.

The Wildcats defeated Little River 47-41 in the 1A-I championship game. With Frankfort up 41-37 in the final 90 seconds, Breleigh Ebert delivered a dagger three-pointer to help the Wildcats secure the win.

Sydney Wapp scored 15 points in the game to lead Frankfort while Hattie Gros finished the game with 14 points.

Gros was named the Class 1A-I Player of the Year while head coach Brian Ebert was named the classification’s Coach of the Year.
