2024 Top 10 Moments: #9 - Riverside Girls Post Second Straight Runner-Up Finish in Class 2A

Back in March, the Riverside girls basketball team posted their second straight runner-up finish in Class 2A.

In the first runner-up finish, the Cyclones lost to Berean Academy in the title game while this past season, they lost to Wichita Independent in the title game.

Before reaching the title game this season, the Cyclones beat Hoxie and Valley Heights in the first two games of the state tournament.

Taylor Weishaar was named All-State Top 5 from KSHSAA Covered while head coach Craig Burnes was named the classifications Coach of the Year by Sports in Kansas.

The two-year run included a record of 45-7 and a 23-8 mark in Big 7 league play.
