Holton Girls Win Cross Country Event at Osage City

The Holton girls cross country team highlighted the Osage City Invite as they won the event on Thursday afternoon at Osage City Municipal Golf Course. 

Eva Cortes led the Wildcats finishing runner-up with a time of 19:58.64 while her teammate Ava Clayton finished in third place. 

Ellei McCrory of Northern Heights won the event with a time of 19:42.82. 

Holton also had another top 10 finish with Maya Doney who took home eighth place. 

Silver Lake posted a pair of top 10 finishes with Tessa Gerber in fifth place and Alessandra Gerber in sixth place. 

In the boys race, Silver Lake posted a third place finish behind Central Heights and West Franklin while Holton finished in seventh place and Rossville in 10th place. 

Dominic Lancaster led Holton with a 28th place finish.
