Nemaha Central Wins Wamego Tournament

The Nemaha Central volleyball team continued their strong season on Saturday winning the Wamego Tournament. 

The Thunder went a perfect 5-0 defeating Riley County, Wamego, and Holton in pool play. They would go on to defeat Royal Valley in the semifinals and Rock Creek in the championship. 

Royal Valley would finish in third place as they defeated Circle and St. Marys in pool play. The Panthers would beat Holton in the third place match after losing the Nemaha Central in the semifinals. 

Following Holton in fourth place was Riley County finishing in sixth place as they defeated Wamego in pool play but lost to Circle in the fifth place match. Also, St. Marys finished in eighth place losing to Wamego in their consolation match.
