Centralia Volleyball Wins Hiawatha Tournament

The Centralia volleyball team continued their strong season over the weekend winning the Hiawatha Tournament in what was a loaded field with local teams. 

Centralia went a perfect 4-0 in pool play with wins over Jackson Heights, Horton, Lafayette, and Bishop Seabury. 

The Panthers would defeat host Hiawatha in the semifinals before taking down Doniphan West in the championship match 25-15, 25-21. 

D-West finished the weekend 5-1 going perfect in pool play with wins over Hiawatha, Atchison, Troy, and Jefferson County North. They would beat Horton in the semifinals before the loss to Centralia in the championship. 

Hiawatha went 3-1 in pool play with their lone loss to Doniphan West and they would go on to beat Horton to claim third place. 

Jackson Heights and Troy both went 2-2 in pool play while Jefferson County North went 1-3 and Atchison went 0-4.
