Girls Golf: Jefferson West Open Results

The girls golf season started up on Thursday afternoon with the Jefferson West Open at Forbes Golf Course in Topeka. 

The nine-hole tournament was won by Silver Lake with a team score of 186 followed by St. Marys (190), Jefferson West (199), Osage City (205), Holton (217), and Wellsville (265). 

Silver Lake's Kailyn Hanni tied with Osage City's Peyton Pitts for first place with a round of 42. Taylor Zordel of Silver Lake finished tied for third with Jefferson West's Dearah Garrett with a round of 44. 

Rounding out the top 10 scores were Izzy Higgins of Jefferson West (47), Makenna Miller of Silver Lake (47), Elly Sanders of Rossville (48), Taryn Taylor of Jefferson West (48), Ava Morrow of Jefferson West (49), Amanda Taylor of Holton (51), and Kaitlyn Lohman of Jefferson West (51).
