East Squad Wins Kansas Shrine Duals

It was the East over the West at the inaugural KWCA Kansas Shrine Duals on Sunday, March 17th. The event was held at Fugate Gym on the campus of Newman University in Wichita. 

Leighanna Patz of McLouth was the lone local wrestler to pick up a victory defeating Alexis Burton by a 10-5 decision. 

Sabetha's Colin Menold and Cullen Wikle both lost their matches. Menold lost Harley Zimmerman by fall while Wikle lost to Tucker Wark by tech fall. Wikle was wrestling at 132, Patz at 135, and Menold at 150. 

The score was 72-62 in favor of the East squad with a 15-13 edge in individual wins. They were also clutch winning five of their last six matches of the day.
