Perry-Lecompton volleyball wins tournament at Atchison

The Perry-Lecompton volleyball team kept their strong season going on Saturday as they won a tournament hosted by Atchison. 

The Kaws went a perfect 5-0 on the day. They won pool play matches over Maur Hill-Mount Academy (26-24, 25-20), Paola (25-18, 25-13), and Shawnee Mission South (25-18, 25-17).

They defeated Junction City (26-24, 25-22) in the semifinals and Louisburg (25-23, 23-25, 25-18) in the championship.  

The Kaws have another tournament win to the resume this season as they won a tournament earlier in the season at West Franklin. The Kaws record is now 25-7 overall with just over a week left in the regular season. 

Maur Hill-Mount Academy, ACCHS, and Atchison combine to go 1-8 in pool play with Atchison landing the lone win against ACCHS.
