Nemaha Central volleyball finishes second at Wamego; Holton finishes fourth

The Nemaha Central volleyball team finished in second place on Saturday at the Wamego tournament while Holton finished in fourth place. 

The Thunder and Wildcats played in the same pool with Nemaha Central winning that matchup 25-21 & 25-15. 

Both teams would defeat Hays and Riley County to advance out of pool play. The Thunder went a perfect 3-0 while Holton went 2-1. 

The Thunder got to the championship match by defeating Rock Creek 25-17 & 25-20 while Holton lost their semifinal match to Circle 14-25 & 16-25. 

Circle would defeat Nemaha Central in the championship 25-27 & 23-25 while Holton lost to Rock Creek in the consolation final 13-25 & 14-25.
