Area Athletes Competing in Kansas Shrine Bowl This Weekend

With the 50th Annual Kansas Shrine Bowl coming up this Saturday at 7:00 p.m., we once again look at our area athletes who will be participating in the festivities in Hays this weekend for the East All-Star Team.

Atchison’s Jesse Greenly will be there after a great season with the Phoenix. Representing the Holton Wildcats is Matthew Lierz.

After their Class 2A state championship, Nemaha Central brings a pair of athletes in Connor Deters and Cooper Hajek. Thunder head coach Michael Glatczak will also be on the East All-Star Team coaching staff.

Also from Class 2A, Sabetha’s Josh Herrmann and ACCHS’s Bricen Lee will be suiting up for the East All-Stars.

Jerrit Norris’s electric play at Troy earned him a spot in the Shrine Bowl. Axtell’s Isaac Detweiler is the only 8-Man player on the East All-Star Team.
