Atchison Girls Soccer Team Earn Regional Title for First Time in School History
The Atchison girls soccer team are Regional Champions for the first time in school history.
The Phoenix earned the #2 seed overall and got a bye in East Regional #2. Atchison won the Regional Title by beating Maranatha 2-1 on Friday afternoon.
Atchison enters the Quarterfinal round of the State Tournament with a record of 15-2-0. Out of the four teams remaining on the East side of the bracke the Phoenix have earned the #2 seed.
They will host #3 seed (13-5-0) Baldwin on Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 PM at Benedictine College. If Atchison wins, they'll advance to the State Semi-Finals on Friday (5/26) with the Championship game and consolation game on Saturday (5/27).
