Sabetha's win at Royal Valley secures Bluejays Big 7 League Title

The Sabetha Bluejays baseball team earned at league split at Royal Valley on Monday night with a 5-4 loss and 9-5 victory. 

The 9-5 victory in game two helped secure Sabetha the 2023 Big 7 League Title. 

Sabetha finished with a league record of 12-2 which was two games better than both Nemaha Central and Jefferson West. 

The Bluejays lone other loss in league play this season was on April 17 which was a 1-0 loss at the hands of Perry Lecompton. 

Sabetha will wrap up the regular season on Thursday with a home doubleheader against Rossville. 

The Bluejays are sitting in the top three of the Nemaha Central Regional along with the Thunder and Silver Lake. 

Other teams in that Regional include Concordia, Rossville, Marysville, Minneapolis and Riley County.
