Atchison Boys Win Thunder Classic at Nemaha Central

The Atchison Phoenix was the top team at the 2023 Thunder Classic hosted by Nemaha Central. 

Atchison (10-1) beat Marysville in the Championship game on Saturday in Seneca 61-52. Atchison is the #5 ranked team in Class 4A while Marysville entered the week ranked #8 in Class 3A. 

Atchison also got wins in the tournament over Jackson Heights (74-21) and St. Marys Academy (55-43) in pool play. 

Up next for Atchison they'll play a non-league game at Jefferson West on Friday (1/27).
