Eight Local Athletes Selected for 2023 Shrine Bowl
The Kansas Shrine Bowl rosters have been released for the 2023 game which will be played on Saturday, July 15th at 7:00 PM.
The game will take place at Lewis Field Stadium at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.
The players are selected each year by a combination of media votes and selections from the Shrine Bowl coaching staff.
This will be the best representation of area athletes in 2023 as we had eight players selected to the East squad.
- Connor Deters (6'6 290) - Nemaha Central
- Cooper Hajek (6'3 225) - Nemaha Central
- Isaac Detweiler (5'11 180) - Axtell
- Jesse Greenly (5'11 220) - Atchison
- Josh Herrmann (5'10 190) - Sabetha
- Bricen Lee (6'1 180) - ACCHS
- Matt Lierz (6'1 190) - Holton
- Jerrit Norris (6'4 190) - Troy
Nemaha Central head coach Michael Glatczak will represent the area coaches and Class 2A as an assistant for the East.
